 Women Self Help Group

We are a group of volunteers  helping women form Kibera to set up self help groups.

The overall goal of the project is economic independence for the women. Each self help group will work towards creating and selling traditional jewellery and handicrafts from Kenya.

Kibera is a division of Nairobi Area, Kenya only 5 kilometers from the Nairobi city centre. Kibera is the second largest urban slum in Africa. In 2009 Kibera's population was estimated at 170,000 inhabitants.

How we can help?
We need volunteers to help us set-up the Women Jewellery group in Kibera as well as in setting an on-line business to allow them to distribute their products worldwide.

You want to help?

Register with our group by sending an email to kibera@gmail.com.
